I just started introducing the Poultry formula freeze dried to my 2 boys who are 5 yrs old. They’ve been on Northwest Naturals freeze dried for a year but Northwest Naturals ran out of production and I had to scramble to find a different food. My cats don’t like Stella & Chewy freeze dried. My cats do seem to like Dr Marty’s and I’m hoping their digestive system doesn’t get too messed up by having to switch foods so fast. It is about $12 more than NW Naturals and it takes more food to feed them so I’m not sure how long I can provide this for them. I might use both brands to mix it up and save when I can. I hope this brand is truthful when stating its premium ingredients and it’s healthy for my boys.

What am I missing??? I was about to buy one bag promo $30 from $55. Recommend daily amount for one 10lb cat is 1-1/8 cup per day. Bag size 12 oz. For one cat you are looking at $900+ a month depending on the cost of the discount to auto ship. I love my cats but a Minimum of $1800 mo on their food is out of reach for me and I’ve got to believe most people. Why isn’t anyone reviewing the cost ?

In reply to Kristen. My 13 year old tabby acts like a kitten now. Lost weight and is very happy to wait for his food while my other one eats his kibble.. even when he walks away from his bowl my cat won’t go for his food bc he knows dr. Marty’s is almost ready;) I always rehydrate it with a little warm water and it takes about 2 minutes then I mash it up. My cat WOULD eat it dry but I think he’d inhale it to fast😋

Sorry to see such negative responses. For me and my cat, James, we are really happy with Dr Marty’s food. There was no need for transitioning the food. James picked out his new food and let left the old stuff in his bowl. He watched me while his food is being measured out. On another note, James is loosing weight a little at a time. No longer egg shape.

My cat, Arty, liked the taste of nature’s feast; however, He began coughing, a dry cough like kennel cough. The vet gave him predeisolne & zeniquin antibiotic. Taking him off the food, he was fine until a serving, same sypmtoms returned. I still had meds, he is well again – off your food.
