Hi, I have the same concerns about fish and its high lead and mercury levels. I avoid the fish cat foods and when I want to add fish to their diet, maybe once every 1 or 2 weeks I add sardines, tuna or mackeral to their food. I dont add a lot, you are right about too much being bad for them.

So fish isn’t inherently bad for cats, but it is possible that frequent feeding of fish—especially types high in mercury like tuna—can potentially pose health risks over time and may lead to nutritional imbalances or sensitivities. It’s okay to include fish occasionally, and some cats would do just fine on a fish based cat food especially if they enjoys it, but it’s best to prioritize variety and choose high-quality foods with responsibly sourced ingredients.

I agree since I have been buying it I have seen my cat more active and he loves the freeze dried with or without water.
