Thanks for posting your experience. If they are still charging you after you definitely cancelled, you may want to consider filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and report it as a fraudulent charge with your credit card company.

I used to sell water purifiers, and here in FL , we have the 2nd worst water in the country, after LA. It’s loaded with pesticides, fertilizers, and run-off, so the municipal water systems add more chlorine than you need in a pool, plus alcohol to cover up the chlorine. It’s a toxic slew! And water is gross in many city systems, and untreated well water is potentially hazardous as well. I highly recommend an under-sink water filtration system for most homes in the U.S, as best for people and pets.
Add highly-processed foods into the mix, and no wonder Americans and our pets are overweight and sickly! I avoid giving my cats cow and pig flesh in particular, as those 4 legged hoofed animals suffer so terribly in the meat industry and their flesh is loaded with antibiotics, pesticides, and hormones, plus the adrenaline that soaks their flesh when they’re killed and their blood stops flowing.

I’m trying Smalls chicken and fish flavors, but I’m disappointed in the lack of variety and price is rough, too. I wonder if my cats’ itchy ears are from allergies to the food they’ve been fed before I got them: likely highly processed chicken parts plus fillers mostly. I’ve read that when we eat a lot of 1 food, we crave it like an addiction, and it’s a symptom of being allergic to it. Variety is important for people and pets, from what I’ve learned. Unfortunately, Smalls only offers chicken and salmon; as mentioned I refuse to buy beef or pig. How about pigeon, mouse, rat, gerbils, hamsters- more species-appropriate food? In parts of Peru the villagers raise hamsters in their stone floor homes (built on top of Inca foundations), for their protein, which is much more humane and environmentally friendly!
Does anyone have an recommendations for high-quality cat food with lots of varieties? My cats are adjusting to Smalls pretty well (mixing it with the other foods they like is working), but they need a supplementary food. I’ve tried all the premium brands at Chewy, and I always end up having to compost so much food that one or the other refuses to eat. With Smalls there’s WAY less waste – a great thing! Meanwhile, the search goes on…!

The only issue I ran into was that my last order came in with a caved in soggy box with 5 packs of food being semi thawed. The dry ice had completely melted. Fed Ex was the delivery.

I contacted Smalls and they were very swift to reply (via text which is fine with me). They reimbursed me on the spot. Funds were available in my bank the very next day. I really hope this doesn’t happen again bcos it will be a deal breaker for any future orders and I really do like Smalls. Heres hoping they can ship more securely and that some big a$$ corporation doesn’t buy them out and ruin the recipe with cheap crap.
